Collection: ILIAS Benoît (major exhibition 2026)
Benoît Ilias's sculptures are born from the encounter between two materials with opposing characters: wood, living and warm, and stained glass, traversed by light. Each retains its identity to create a dialogue where material and color respond to one another naturally.
Inspired by living forms, his works favor clean lines and balanced compositions. Depending on the lighting and the point of view, the glass reveals ever-renewed colors and transparencies, giving each sculpture a changing presence.
Each creation invites you to slow down your gaze. The curves, openings, and plays of transparency naturally lead the eye from one form to another, while light animates the work as the hours pass. The viewer thus discovers a sculpture that is constantly evolving, revealing different nuances according to its surrounding environment.
Through this alliance of wood and glass, Benoît Ilias creates contemporary works where light becomes a true creative material. The balance between the warmth of the wood and the brilliance of the glass gives each of his sculptures a presence that is at once sober, elegant, and profoundly alive.
