Collection: LE GUELAFF Laetitia-May (major exhibition 2026)

Through this new series, Laetitia-May Le Guelaff pursues a research where the animal becomes a reflection of our own emotions. Bears, wolves, ravens, or hybrid figures are never treated as mere naturalistic subjects: they embody inner states, emotional bonds, and silent narratives that resonate immediately with the viewer.

Modeled in a material left intentionally raw, the sculptures retain the imprints of the gesture. The surfaces seem to be built and eroded simultaneously, as if the forms were still emerging from the earth. This sculptural style gives the works an impression of permanent movement and an assumed fragility.

The artist plays on a subtle balance between power and gentleness. The tenderness of a gaze, the protective instinct of a mother, the complicity between two beings, or the vulnerability of an animal become universal subjects that transcend the simple representation of the wild world.

In front of these sculptures, the visitor is invited to slow down. The works do not seek to impress; they evoke a discreet yet profound emotion. They remind us that the instincts that bring us closer to the animal world remain at the heart of our own humanity
