Collection: AnTho

AnTho, whose name is Anthony Fourmy, develops a style of painting in which gesture, material, and light unite to reveal a sensitivity that is both poetic and sensual. Each work is born from an intuitive drawing, a sketch found in his notebooks, which becomes the starting point for a long-matured composition.

Before painting, the artist prepares his canvases as a meeting ground between material and color: he applies coatings of sand and binders that give the surface a mineral relief and a singular vibration. On this texture, he works in successive layers, mixing acrylic, pigments and charcoal to bring out forms and emotions. His works are structured around feminine silhouettes, suspended attitudes, or even fragments of nature. Ochres, browns and reds dominate his palette, punctuated by light blues that soothe the warmth of the tones.

Between figuration and suggestion, AnTho seeks above all to freeze the ephemeral, to translate the intensity of a memory or the poetry of a moment. For him, painting and words participate in the same sensitive language: that of an emotion to transmit, of a silence to share. His work is part of a contemporary painting of emotion and memory, where each canvas becomes a space of inner resonance.
