Collection: FARGEAS Nadine -AYLEN (Major exhibition 2026)
AYLEN's painting is born from a dialogue between gesture, matter, and color. The artist does not seek to represent a landscape or an identifiable subject; she constructs the canvas progressively, letting a composition emerge that is guided by intuition and emotion. Each work is an exploration where forms reveal themselves over the course of the work rather than from a pre-established drawing.
Her universe is one of evocative abstraction. Masses of color, transparencies, textures, and luminous contrasts suggest rather than describe. Reminiscences of rocks, volcanoes, smoke, minerals, or landscapes in transformation may appear, without ever being imposed on the viewer. It is this freedom of interpretation that makes her work so rich.
Matter occupies an essential place in her creative process. It is worked through successive layers, blending textures, erasures, and reworkings, until a balance between power and delicacy is found. Deep blacks dialogue with luminous whites, while ochres and burnt earths provide an almost mineral warmth, giving the works a presence that is both dense and ethereal.
AYLEN does not tell a precise story. She proposes a sensitive space where everyone can project their own emotion.
Her paintings do not provide answers; they open up perceptions, memories, or sensations that belong to the one contemplating them. This freedom of the gaze is at the heart of her artistic approach.
