Son of the earth, Jacky Meunier, self-taught artist, draws his inspiration from his peasant roots. This deep connection with nature and artisanal know-how shines through in each of his works, where the hand becomes the vector of a singular artistic expression.

His approach is guided by instinct, intuition and sensitivity. Just like the farmer who listens to the land and his animals to adjust his work, the artist listens to his hand, letting it be guided by the materials he manipulates. It was by creating gardens that he discovered his primary vocation: to populate nature, to breathe soul into it through living sculptures.

The encounter with metal was decisive in his artistic journey. He is fascinated by the raw energy and formal lightness of this material, which allows him to express his creativity in a unique way. Working with metal becomes for him a dialogue with the work in progress, a battle where each form emerges, is felt, then eventually rejected or accepted. In his artistic philosophy, there is truth only in the present moment, in the creative process which gives birth to each work.
